OTTO’s HTWF friction hold thumbwheel actuator is designed for a positive user experience, efficiency and, of course, long life cycle. It easily snap mounts into panel openings. This rocker-style control component uses Hall effect technology to better translate rotational movement into an electrical output signal.

What does that mean for you? Hall effect uses magnetic sensors to detect the position of the magnet within the thumbwheel. As it rotates, the magnet moves to generate a voltage change. The friction actuation allows the roller to maintain position. The further the rotation goes, the greater the voltage output. Together with its design, this thumbwheel is a perfect fit for heavy equipment, industrial machines and remote control applications.
