In lighting and architectural applications, the miniaturisation of system components is essential to overcome the constraints of limited space. The new two-pole TH395 electrical connector, part of Techno’s TEETUBE range, is the ideal solution, thanks to its extremely compact dimensions combined with high performance.
Designed to handle AC/DC currents up to 10 A and 500 V, the TH395 has a diameter of just 14 mm and a length of 76 mm (inline version) or 42 mm (M16 panel version). It accepts flexible cables with an external diameter of up to 7.9 mm and conductor cross-sections from 0.25 to 1.5 mm², including H03VV-F, H05VV-F, H03VVH2-F (flat) and H05RN-F types. The connector ensures reliable protection against external agents with an IP66/68 rating, while its mechanical resistance up to IK08 makes it suitable for installations where mechanical stress is a concern.
Versatility is further enhanced by the two housing colour options (black and grey) and the possibility to customise the overmoulded rubber colour to differentiate connection types. Other key features include Y and H branch splitters, as well as the option to install the joint inside corrugated conduits with a diameter of 20 mm, making integration into ducts and wall boxes easier. A coloured identification ring, available in white and green (and in blue on request), allows quick and accurate recognition of different signal types directly on site.
The balance of compactness and performance makes the TH395 the ideal choice for designers and installers working on architectural lighting projects. The connector integrates seamlessly into poles and bollards in gardens and urban furniture, simplifying wiring and maintenance. Thanks to its features, it is also well suited for use in connection kits for power supplies and luminaires, ensuring smooth and reliable integration.
The connector body is made of self-extinguishing PA66GF, ensuring excellent resistance to mechanical stress, heat and flames — key requirements in electrical, electronic and automotive applications. The grommets and seals are made of TPE, offering outstanding resistance to oils, greases and solvents. They provide effective insulation, act as a barrier against water, dust and moisture, and protect against UV radiation and ozone, preventing short circuits and leakage currents. For clear polarity identification, the TH395 features differentiated pad markings, with 1-2 and L-N options available as standard, and + and – versions available on request for specific applications.
As with all Techno’s high-performance connection solutions, a wide range of accessories is available to extend the application possibilities of the TH395 connector: two-pole grommets (slotted, single-hole and blind options to suit different wiring configurations), nuts, and a practical tightening wrench to ensure secure closure of the joint.
