Worth knowing
The 90A bars have mixed tunnels. Three tunnels are 6mm in diameter and take 16mm² cable. The rest are 5mm and take 10mm².
The 250A range starts at 24 tunnels. For a smaller count, the 165A range goes down to 6.
Mounting on the 165A and 250A bars. Each bar has at least two threaded, countersunk mounting holes. On the standard bars, the main studs are two M10 zinc-coated steel hex bolts with spring and flat washers.
Mounting feet are available separately in red or black.
Built for a good termination
• Domed screw ends won't cut or burr the copper.
• Two screws per tunnel. Zinc-coated steel on the 165A and 250A bars, and fine-thread BA screws on the 90A bars.
• 80%+ tunnel coverage. The screws are designed to cover 80%+ of the tunnel, as required in AS/NZS 3000 Electrical installations (the Australian/New Zealand Wiring Rules).
In practice, that means a firm clamp on every conductor without damaging the copper.
