Techno Connectors light up the Singapore F1 Grand Prix

Techno IP68 connectors are used to provide connections for the lighting system at the Singapore Grand Prix night time race. The connectors are regularly put under extreme pressure as Singapore is known for its high humidity, and frequent, heavy rainfall.

The Marina Bay Street Circuit in Singapore is fitted with over 1500 luminaires powered by 6,800 Techno connector sets, illuminating the 5.067km track with light that is four times brighter than a football stadium at night.

Landscaping, irrigation, lighting, pumping, and signage applications are some of the toughest tests for electrical connectors. Often subjected to freezing temperatures, direct sunlight, heavy rain, and even full submersion in water or buried underground, the connectors need to protect wiring year round with no requirement for maintenance or repair.
