Yes, we carry 3 main ranges of panel wires
TOPFLEX® TRI-RATED H07V2-K cable complies with EN 50525-2-31, BS 6231, UL 758 and CSA C22.2 international standards. This versatile flexible cable has been designed for instrumentation panels, switchboards, electrical cabinets and within smaller electrical devices, just to name a few.
DESIGN:
Flexible copper conductor (class 5)
Extra sliding flexible PVC insulation
TRI-RATED cable is so-called because it meets the requirements of three different standards: BSI (British Standards Institution), UL (Underwriters Laboratories), and CSA (Canadian Standards Association).
This triple rating of this TRI-RATED H07V2-K cable means that it meets European & North American wiring regulations.
Top Cable manufacture and distribute TOPFLEX® TRI-RATED H07V2-K cables, carrying out rigorous internal cable testing and also regularly sending samples for the approval’s bodies, ensuring compliance with all three standards.
Customers value Top Cable’s TOPFLEX® TRI-RATED H07V2-K cables for its flexibility and bending radius, due to the materials of our special PVC compound. Our wide range of cross-section and colours is also well appreciated in the market.

Tri-rated cables, (also known as “control panel wire” or “switchgear cable” or “panel wire” or “hook up wire” or even “BS6231 cable”) can be used within a variety of construction sectors:
Internal wiring of electrical cabinets
Switch control boards
Power switch gear
Instrumentation panels
Motor starters and controllers
Rectifier equipment
Small electrical devices
Wiring home appliances
Lighting solutions
Flexible motor ducts
Machinery in general
The TOPFLEX® TRI-RATED H07V2-K cable’s electrical performance depends on its standard:
According to BS (CK) 600/1000 V
According to UL (AWM) 600 V
According to CSA (TEW) 600 V
According to EN (H05V2-K) 300/500 V
According to EN (H07V2-K) 450/750 V
Sometimes the TRI-RATED cable is referred to as a “High temperature cable”. This is because it is subjected to extensive testing at high temperatures. According to the UL and CSA, the maximum conductor temperature of TRI-RATED cable is 105°C. BS6231 states that the cable should have a maximum operating temperature of 90°C for continuous use.
Tri-Rated cable is a flame non-propagation cable according to EN 60332-1 / IEC 60332-1 and VW-1, FT1 and FT2 according to UL 2556. Its reaction to fire CPR is Eca, according to EN 50575.
For applications requiring a panel wire with a Low Smoke Halogen Free (LSHF) insulation or a higher CPR class such as Cca or B2ca, TRI-RATED cable is not suitable and therefore we would recommend our LSHF extra-flexible cable for panel wiring: TOXFREE® H07Z1-K.
The sheath colour is as flexible as the Panel Wire itself!

This cable is designed according to EN 50525-2-31 / BS 6231 / UL 758 / CSA C22.2 and complies with the European CPR (Construction Products Regulation) Eca. In addition, TOPFLEX® TRI-RATED H07V2-K cable is CE, RoHS, AENOR, UL LISTED, and <HAR> certified.
TOPFLEX® TRI-RATED cable is so-called because it meets the requirements of three different standards: BSI (British Standards Institution) BS6231 Type CK, UL (Underwriters Laboratories) Subject 758 Appliance Wiring Materials (AWM) for styles 1015, 1028, 1283, and 1284 as applicable and CSA (Canadian Standards Association) Standard C22.2, No.127, Type TEW. This triple rating means that this versatile cable meets European & North American wiring regulations.
BS 6231 is a British Standard last updated in 2006 by the BSI Group (a leading global provider of standards, management systems, business improvement and regulatory approval information). This standard specifies the performance and construction requirements of electrical cables that are single core, non-sheathed, PVC-insulated and of rated voltage 600/1000 V. Although many use the name BS 6231 when referring generally to TRI-RATED cables, this is an erroneous statement because TRI-RATED cable is approved to two standards other than this one.
Underwriters Laboratories (UL) is an independent product safety certification organisation, which has been in operation since 1894. UL is the most famous Nationally Recognised Testing Laboratory (NRTL) in the United States and conducts certification testing of every electrical appliance. They use 70 different product categories and more than 30 Standards for Safety to evaluate wiring and cable products. UL62, the Standard for flexible cord, is the standard to which TRI-RATED cable is approved. It covers flexible cord constructed and listed for use in accordance with Article 400 of ANSI/NFPA 70, The American “National Electrical Code” (NEC). UL has a policy of cross-certification so that a product can be certified by UL using CSA standards, such products are certified C-UL.
The Canadian Standards Association (CSA) is a non-profit membership-based association, which develops standards to protect public health and safety and to help preserve the environment in Canada and the global marketplace. TRI-RATED cable is approved to CSA standard C22.2 Number 49, which specifies the requirements for flexible cords, elevator cables, and hoistway cables, rated to a maximum of 600 V.
